Rev Timothy Rose was inducted as second Minister to St Johns Papatoetoe, on Thursday 29th July. The Rev Margaret Anne Low will also continue as Minister at St Johns in the immediate future until such time she retires.
The induction service included an encouraging sermon by the Rev Becky Heale and a moving rendition of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ by members of the St Johns choir.
The Moderator, Rev Craig Millar moderated the service, the National Moderator, Right Rev Fakaofo Kaio and his wife Ruth were in attendance. Mr Brian Chiplin provided some rousing organ playing. Intercessary prayer by the Rev Michael Frost, presentations of the symbols of ministry by members of the congregation, Naomi Tamangaro, Johnathan Bycroft, Maungapaia Ropeti-iupeli, Menu Europa and Barbara Field, Bible readings by Rev Edmond Nambur from the Dargaville Baptist Church and Sela Jonasi Malase.
The service was followed by a much appreciated supper and fellowship.
We pray God’s continued blessing on Rev Margaret Anne Low, the congregation of St John’s, Rev Timothy Rose & wife Edeth as they embark on this new season together.
