2022 | Term 1 | Week 9 | April 11-15
This week, kids learned in Luke 15:20 that God’s love for us doesn’t change when we’re good or bad, and His forgiveness never ends. Jesus told the story of a man with two sons. This week, kids learned in Luke 19:37-38 about the very first Palm Sunday. Jesus and His disciples were headed to a city called Jerusalem for a big celebration called Passover that would last for a whole week. Word spread quickly through the town that Jesus was coming. He had become very famous because people had heard about His healing the sick and even raising the dead. As Jesus entered the town, a large crowd gathered. People began to throw their coats on the road in front of Jesus. They cut branches from the palm trees and waved them and they began to shout, “Hosanna! Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord.” Kids learned that Jesus is King and is worthy of our praise on Palm Sunday, and everyday. Bible Memory Verse: “When He came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: ‘Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ‘Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!’ ” Luke 19:37-38
