Zoom Webinar 25th November 5.30 pm
Presbyterian Support New Zealand, through its Presbyterian Support Northern Shine service, is delighted to offer an introductory family violence webinar titled Shine a Light on Family Violence Prevention to the Presbyterian Church family.
The webinar is being held on White Ribbon Day, Thursday 25th November 4:45 pm – 5:30 pm.
The webinar will offer an opportunity to learn about the complexity of domestic violence, and to deepen our understanding of issues such as coercive control and entrapment. It will also focus on the importance of responding empathically and the pathways for help which are available for people experiencing family violence.
We hope the webinar will be a way of enabling people within our congregations to engage with the PCANZ’s commitment to foster safe and loving homes.
The webinar presenters:
Margaret Fitzgibbon (PSN Shine Team Leader FV Education, DVFREE and Professional Community Training) and Mira Taitz (PSN Shine, Senior Family Violence Educator/Trainer)
Shine (Safer Homes in NZ Everyday) is a service of PSN and provides specialist domestic violence services all with the primary aim of supporting people experiencing family violence to become safe.
